Late last year, I was lucky enough to work on a gifting campaign with Daisy London and their incredible Estée Lalonde range. I wasn’t asked to give a full review of this piece but since having this necklace in my collection, it’s become a real staple piece that I reach for time and time again.
The entire Estée Lalonde collection from Daisy London is utterly beautiful, full with effortless every day pieces which can uplift and elevate even the most simple of outfits. This collection features some interesting textures, details and shapes which can be layered up or simplified down.
Sun Necklace | Rising Sun Frame Necklace 18Ct – £139
The necklace in question in this post is actually unavailable right now but you can pop your name on the waiting list to be notified when it does become available again if you wanted to.
When it came to choosing my piece from the Estée Lalonde range, this necklace instantly jumped out at me. I don’t own any square necklaces, so I wanted to branch out a bit with my own personal styling when it comes to jewellery. And the beautiful rising sun motif really spoke to me.
Not to get too personal here but at the time where I was sent this necklace, i was going through a really transformative period of my life. I had finally come out of the other side of my crippling anxiety disorder and I was starting to live a normal life again, after almost a decade.
In a way, I was breaking through the dark clouds of my life for the previous 8 years. So I guess you could say that was why I was drawn to this particular piece. I think just just goes to show how personal and intimate jewellery can be for us.
No detail is left unattended at Daisy London as your jewellery arrives in a beautiful box and bag. As well as the piece itself, secured safely in a little branded pouch which is useful for if you’re travelling and want to keep your jewellery extra safe.
As with a lot of the pieces in the Daisy London x Estée Lalonde collection, this necklace is very easily layerable, which I love. Of course it looks beautiful on it’s own but if you did want to layer it up with other pieces (either from the Estée range or elsewhere) it’s very easy to do so.
Here’s an example of how I layered up my Daisy London necklace with a couple of other pieces in my collection (I’ll have a post about both of these in the future!) and I really liked this look because the theme and feel of all 3 of these pieces seem to match really well.
This beautiful, bold and sturdy necklace is an ideal every day piece that you know will look great with whatever you’re wearing. As with the image above it really brightens up a basic white top but sites as an effortless and timeless classic that you can reach for over and over again.
With a nod to decades gone by, the entire original Daisy London x Estée collection is based off of Estée’s love for classic vintage jewellery, with a contemporary edge make them your go-to every day wearable pieces.
